THat's ...errr... two out of three then.

Both May and Hammond have ridden bikes on the show before. Hammond won the cross-London commuter challenge on a bike, while May carted his Brompton to Italy on the train to try and steal a march over the other two. He then got lost, but he and Hammond still arrived before Clarkson in the car.
Even the tubby one has, famously, taken to cycling. None of them, of course, actually has any issue with cycling or cyclists. Their target is the excessively earnest, the humourless, the self-important, and 'they only do it to provoke'.

I'm definitely not a TG fan at all, but I watched it on iplayer last night and thought it was a hoot. Unlike hubby, who when I looked across the sofa in his direction, I was met with a facial expression that would keep milk cold in the fridge during a power cut.
I think the team were having a pop at all road users ( and definitely at themselves) with the exception of taxi drivers  and maybe showed us, there can be a bit of *osser in all of us at times.

Just got round to watching this last night, very funny. I'm actually surprised how receptive to cycling Clarkson was...I also wanted to watch James' maintenance video in full lol

...that's because I am certain at least 2, if not 3 are regular cyclists. Agree with the rest of your post too.

Overall, I didn't think it was one of their funnier pieces, but the red/green ad was excellent. :-)

No sorry. You're not. I didn't find the Office funny at all and I think Ricky Gervais is a waste of good oxygen.

What is it with this cyclists jump red lights? Maybe in London, but where I live I never see a cyclist do so. I see a few cars do so because they 'can just get through before it changes', but not even many of them. The ad I'd like to see is one that teaches drivers the difference between 30 and 50, and between 60 and 'whatever my car is capable of'.

I'm here in London and although it's getting better, I see loads RLJ. It seems worse the further out I travel. I see the same cyclists in central London wait patiently at lights but to see them fly through when I head out east. There's little difference in the junctions/traffic so I can only assume its the likelyhood of being caught.
