Recently broke my record, my Sigma computer recorded 45.06mph, riding old Raleigh road bike down ThoreswayHill in Lincolnshire.

My fastest ever down hill is 53.6mph but it felt like 153mph.............um I'm not so good going up them though

I've had 39mph confirmed to me, but I must have done about 45mph by now on the new bike. I don't have any of this fancy electric suff to tell me you see.

0.9 mph more than it was on Saturday. Dark Hill, Richmond Park, London. I have a way to go. A large Audi on the other side of the road honked his horn at a corner. I'm not sure if I was a bit wide or if he admired my speed.
Actually, I think I do.

Mine was 75 Km/H which is 46.8 mph when riding the C40 coming down a long hill just outside of Manila!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I once reached 58mph going down from the glen shee ski resort to the Spittal of Glenshee hotel . Really scary .

Mine's 44something; 44.6 if I remember rightly. It would be nice if I could say that was my speed going up hill.

Where is Thoreways Hill? my best was 54mph down Scamblesby also Lincolnshire with Geoff Platts overtaking me.

The hill in question is to the south-west of the village of Thoresway. It is on the national cycle route no. 1 between Lincoln & Hull. From Market Rasen the route goes through the village of Walesby, up Walesby Hill, across the Caistor High Street (B1225), then down the hill into Thoresway.

45mph is scary enough for me down a narrow road with some bends, hoping that there are no tractors on their way up the hill! I could perhaps manage faster on wider/better/more straight roads, but I'm not particularly looking for opportunities to break my personal speed record.

40mph according to Strava on an Android phone, not sure I trust it though!
