Did anyone see the Torch T1 helmet on Dragon's Den? Has anyone bought one? I was thinking of getting one as part of my commute is unlit but it seems they are not for showing the way ahead but only for for others to see you.
Anyone with actual experience of using/owning one? My thought was that a good front light is £100+ so this integrated solution would be good but seems not.

You would still need to put a front and rear light on your bike as well, over priced and not needed imo.

I think that the Torch T1 is priced to high, even though one of the partners mention helmets that cost hundreds.

If it was reasonably priced at £65.00, then more people can afford it.

I'd like to know about the output of the lights. Unless I'm being particularly blind, I can't see anything on the website showing how much light they put out, although from the photos, the concept, and the fact I think I might have encountered one of these "in the wild", I'm guessing they're more for being seen by than seeing with. I'm afraid if that's the case, it's massively overpriced at £85.

My current set-up (Spesh Align and Lezyne Macro Drive Duo) cost me £80 and can throw enough light to get me through unlit roads and towpaths, If I'd gone with a be seen light, I reckon it'd be in the £45-50 range the lot, so I'm finding an extra £35 for the integration of it all in to one unit a little steep. I can see it being a case of the manufacturer wanting to make the most of being first to market, and then when someone else brings out a helmet/lights combo the T1 will drop to whatever price point the competition sets.
