Torque wrench advice please

Hi people , I am looking at asking santa for a torque wrench. Please may I get some recommendations from you all re makes and torque ranges. I have seen some with 5nm and some with as low a torque as 3nm. What sort of range would you recommend? I use it for home mechanics and looking to the future for starting a local service. Park Tools seems really expensive , but it could be worth it , I don't know.

Don't know about the upper end of the torque ranges, but the Superstar Components one I have is ideal for the delicate stuff. I also use it for gunsmithing as it has a 1/4" drive so can hold smaller torx keys and hex drivers.

The pre-set ones are good, particularly in a workshop environment where speed and robustness is important.

Loads of people seem to have a torque wrench set that's the same rebadged product - here's the Planet X version http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/TOJWMTWS/jobsworth-pro-torque-wrench-set - IIRC : CR, Wiggle, Rose and Screwfix all have a similar one at similar price.

Father Christmas brought me one last year (from Herr Rose) - excellent ... and great comfort when doing stuff with carbon or mission-critical tightness requirements.

Park Tools 3-15Nm is the one to buy - invaluable and use it almost everyday

I've got that Topeak one and it's spot on for what it is - bought it from Halfords. It wasn't on the website, but you can order any Topeak product in store. Best of all was it was cheaper than anywhere else and I got British Cycling discount on it as well.
