This is not related to cycling or bikes at all but figured that a forum would be the best place to put it.

I have encountered a problem where I cannot get onto Google or YouTube. I need to access google in order to search for things, and YouTube to watch video's of bad drivers caught by helmet cameras. I use BT Broadband and have Norton 360 as my security.

It is odd because I can get onto websites like this and facebook but just not those two. I have tried to reconnect as it tells me to but that does nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to solve this? I cannot use any search engine at all because it is not allowing me.

The first option could be trying a different web browser Chrome or Firefox I recommend (especially if you're using IE, horrible browser).

There's a chance that Norton could be blocking these websites for some reason or other (Norton has always been finicky), so you could try disabling that and going to the website(s) to test it, and if not re-enable it.

If you could get us the error code which the webpage shows that could help as well.

in the run box type ping www.google.co.uk (or com if you're warped) and see if you get a response or a timeut
This is less messy than installing a new browser and will indicate if it's a browser problem
or something at a lower level
