Touch screen pc

I want (actually i don't, the wife does ) a PC of the new type with all the gubbins mounted in the screen, no tower.
Without having done much, if any homework, all i've seen is touch screen PCs....what a pointless exercise

Is anyone going to sit at home and touch the screen when you can do everything quite easily and comfortably with a mouse...really ? it couldn't be easier !! What the point of a touch screen is i really don't know.

I'm thinking...yeah, a pointless piece of technology that'll be even more expensive to fix when it goes wrong...so has anyone got a screen with all the gubbins in that isn't touch screen ?

Don't some PC's just clip on via the Vesa mount at the back of a TV.

Most "All in One" systems are not touch screen

Unless the computer is in built into the table, touch screens are very pointless if they are built into a normal monitor and very uncomfortable to use for more than 10 mins.

Well i never, they're just the thing...i went in there at the weekend, all i could see was touchscreens.

Unless the computer is in built into the table, touch screens are very pointless if they are built into a normal monitor and very uncomfortable to use for more than 10 mins.

My thoughts exactly re uncomfortable.

The irony is it's the wife that wants it, to declutter the spare room / computer room, despite the fact she has her laptop and never really uses the main PC. She's constantly thinking about an iPad, but shies away whenever we get close to buying one...she's a good girl , she want's one but then realises it won't give her much she hasn't got already.

She's constantly reminding me that a new bike's the same...it'd be nice, but you dont really need one
