Tour de France 09 - Annecy TT and Mt Ventoux

Hi,

I've finally managed to get my backside in gear and sort out my photos from the Tour. Was an amazing experience to actually be there, rather than just shouting at the screen at home! I think the pros might have got up Ventoux a bit faster than me, but it is their job I guess.

Was good fun. Climbing Ventoux the day before the stage was hard work but such an amazing experience. So hot. Such a monster climb. Took me 2hrs 10 with a couple of stops and some pushing . There will be a next time where there will be no pushing! Then one of our group took the road down to Sault whereas the rest of us were waiting with the cars, which were parked in Bedoin!!! Thank f**k for mobile phones and satnav!

The atmosphere at the stages was incredible - so many people from so many different nations united by their passion for cycling. And being just inches from the action - can't beat it.
