That's the kind of climb I like. Not balls out stoopid, just a nice long steady climb on a decent surface in a superb location. Not your usual mountain climb for sure, but more my kind of thing. Set a (slow) rhythm and trundle along nice and steady.

Currently, he has been shrewdly, tactically, deliberately, hiding out of sight at 28th position, just eagerly waiting to pounce.

He’s said he’s aiming for a top 10 finish in GC and no longer stage hunting. He’s too close to GC to be allowed to get away now anyway so has little chance of sneaking a stage win, so this will be his only real chance to grab a bit of time.
