Let’s get into the high mountains now, maybe I can finish high or win velo games then.

Hopefully Pog will say something nice and diplomatic to calm things down.

Not sure if this is genuine but I hope so.

Finding TNTs coverage hard to follow. Last year I could turn Hatch off on the now unavailable ad free stream. Now we have to listen to his non stop high pitched hyperbole filled bollox for most of the race. Prentending that Van Der Poel had any chance of catching the leaders today with 700m to go was either gross stupidity or just trying to create false drama for the gullible. I go for the latter with that monstrosity of a commentator.

Have you not got ITV 4 ?

Social media is rubbish isn't it? Full of psychos and half-wits, and if you do see something positive then the immediate reaction is that it might be fake.

Listen to Dave and Ned telling us how cooked MVDP was and how off form he was just before he took off on his flyer.
Then saying how Pog was blindsided by JV’s attack as Pog simply joined them and sat on the wheels.
Incredible stuff

I can see both sides of the "should they have waited?" debate.

VLAB have been putting pressure on during stages like this, precisely to try and force Pogi into a mistake. IMO, while it wasn't fully anyone's faul, Pogi has some culpability when it comes to staying on his bike and I was disappointed to see them ease off.

But as has been said, the risk reward of gaining 20 seconds but enraging Pogi probably meant that discretion was the better form of valour. It would have been interesting if Pogi crashed out of a smaller group of JV, Remco and (let's say) Vauquelin, and also if it had been Onley or Johannesen himself that had crashed, whether the group would have waited.

🎩 for the prediction but it wasn't that hilly.

To be fair, Uno-X have been at the Tour three times now, and Grenland's Plough has been in almost every break that's gone, so it's been coming.

So far he's been in 12 TdF breaks in three years, a total distance of 1548km at an average of 129km per break (longest was 195km, shortest 53km).

His 806km in the break in 2024 was a whopping 23% of the entire race length 🤯

So far this year he's only been away twice, for a total of 300km.

Honestly, does De Gendt even have numbers like that? Considering how ridiculously hard it is to get in the break that's just astounding.

Why not just watch without sound if there's someone annoying on?

What I found infuriating yesterday was the same people saying the front two had to be fully committed and couldn't let up, then criticising Schmid for not keeping something in reserve for the sprint.

I watched the ITV4 highlights yesterday. I would quite like it if not for Millar. Maybe if they had one of their historical features and guillotined him it would pull in the viewers.

Re should they have waited. Well they are pro cyclists and I'm a know-nothing eejit, so I defer to them. But that aside, is it possible that Pog, with help from Yates A and I think other teammates could well have got back anyway, or at least reduced the deficit to very little? If that's right, sitting up just added a veneer of niceness to the inevitable. A bit like when Pidders waited for Pog in Strade Bianchi. Outcome similar but sportsmanship points awarded.

Come to think of it, he's making a habit of this. Jonas in the tour a couple of years ago. Pidders in SB, and now this. If only that rotten MVDP had waited for him he might have won Paris Roubaix ;)
