Didn't Poggy have a cold a few days ago? Reason enough to be a bit more cautious than usual today and on Ventoux. The familiar swashbuckling, stage-hunting Pogacar was there for the first couple of weeks, wasn't he?

Unless there was a headwind, I don't know why Vin didn't try a long slow boil FTP-esque effort up the final climb, the drafting benefits would have been minimal.

But it's over this year bar injury or illness, neither a pleasant way to get the better of an opponent.

I don't think it's anything to do with a sniffle, he's been riding more cautiously all Tour. He's turned up his nose at 4 or 5 possible stage wins already, either to save himself or his team. That goes back to at least not chasing Healy on stage 6

...and yet that is exactly Pog's strategy once he had a couple of minutes as a buffer.

Tomorrow's stage to Le Plagne has been shortened due an outbreak of illness amongst the local cows. I guess this news about les vaches qui retch will leave some people cheesed off, but it's important not to let these things spread.

No, even earlier, after 12 km.
Similar to yesterday for LTK and Milan to mop up green points.
And then the sprint to La Plagne where Milan will be nowhere to be seen.
