Highlights were the Wacky Races tribute at the Cassel KOM and Jonas deciding to drive a split when the commentators were giving him stick for stealing a KOM point from those wanting their moment of glory. Tomorrow and Monday are more coastal so could be even more of the same.

It's impressive how few mistakes Pog and Jonas make and how many Roglic and Remco make. Incredible how Red Bull and QS basically bin their entire Tour after the first day. Of course it's still a long race and anything can happen, but I'd be livid as a DS.

Typically solid job by MvdP in the minutes prior to the sprint. Only Rickaert was up front during the drag to the sprint. MvdP moves Groves and Philipsen up into position while they are doing 60 km/h and still has enough to do his leadout for Groves. Normal for him, but it's still special.
After he ate Wout's lunch in CX first and then the classics, maybe he is coming for the mantle of "best domestique in the world as well". 😉😂

Biniam Girmay the first African rider to wear the white jersey, apparently.

(Apologies if this has already been mentioned, or if it turns out they meant he's the first black African to wear it. Regardless, it's another little milestone from an impressive bloke)

Here's tomorrow's stage. Probably of most interest is the route map, as it shows the direction of the race and the wind could be a factor again, tomorrow. It's out of the just South of West at 20-25kph, but with gusts of twice that.

Winds from SW look far more dangerous on your post than Mididcotors tbh. His all look like a raging headwind.

Totally agree - I've reluctantly got a month's sub, four times the price it was last year, and no ad-free option.

There's Just been a five minute ad break - that's plenty of time to miss incidents altogether.

The reply will be that the multi screen is ad free. I also found that pausing the live coverage and coming back to it later after being out doesnt work either.

Yeah, Kelly thought it was a bad move taking it from the smaller teams who need that sort of thing as they’ll have long memories. I can’t really see a situation where Total Energie or Cofidis are able to make life hard for Jonas even if that were the case.

They seem to have binned it. The multi-screen option is ad-free, but it’s awful. Giving me motion sickness. They’re absolute charlatans.

I selected multi screen in the Giro by mistake. I could only manage it for a few minutes but TNT were bugging it up as a great innovation. For me having a little boxes you can switch to would be a better option.
