Great to see MVDP get another stage win.

MvdP ended up on the front too early, but still held it.
Interesting by Vinegarman willing to be aggresive.
Wout rolls in 3.5 minutes down

It makes sense I think .... He does not have to attack but the fact he did raises cortisol levels in pogacar on these flatish stages till stage 10 on terrain where visma is superior and can shape the race . Visma can choose where/ when to attack and have the safety net of those rouluers . Putting pog in a more defensive posture with less options further from the finish line . Pogacar is hard to stop but if you don't fatigue him he will win rather than come 2nd.

Pog has to keep watching now whether visma attack or not .

Surely though they need to fatigue Pog without fatiguing Vingegaard. So if it's Vingegaard attacking to provoke a reaction they are going to end up equally fatigued

The theory is that Vingegaards third week restitution is his superpower, so while both are getting fatigued it has more effect on Pog.

Is it just me? I’m finding the teams harder to pick out this year.

Both Yates are riding like they are tapering for week 3 . Both UAE and VISMA I suspect are planning keeping a spare card high on GC . Jorgensen and Almeida. The Yates GC card was always a myth
