Ineos are having a shocker in this first week. Rodriguez is way off the GC pace, other than G in the break today and brief glances of Watson the only time I've seen evidence they are there was when Ganna crashed out. Could be their worst showing since 2014 or 2011.

Tomorrow - 1 single cat 4 climb near the end. Sprint points about half way.
Sunday - no climbs at all. Sprint 24km from the start.

Can't say I will be that bothered if I miss both of these.

Monday:
7 cat 2 climbs including a hill-top finish and 1 cat 3 climb = 37 points available for KOM, current leader is on 8.
Sprint points about 1/3 of the way through, and a good distance after the first hill. And all happening on the 10th consecutive day in the saddle without a rest.

Can I take Monday off instead of Sunday, please?

IMO their Tour was going to hinge on Ganna, and his going out on Stage 1 was a monster blow for them, and him I'm sure.
I hope to be wrong, but I really struggle to see CR ever becoming a real GC hopeful, at least against the real big guns - I appreciate he has potential, and has showed it in the past, but I really struggle to see him jumping to the next level.

I know Brailsford is back on board now, but I think they are not going to be seeing any huge change in results until their new young signings come through and hopefully develop into race winners, and or in tandem they land a big name such as Evenepoel.

Glad I read this as I wouldn't have turned on the coverage on Monday assuming it to be a rest day. I can't recall that hapening in the past but I assume they do it any time the 14th falls on a Monday?

Given that it is a big holiday in France, and every year the entire French population holds their breath in the hope that a Frenchman wins on Bastille Day, they would be daft not to.

Looks like it. The last Monday 14 July were
2014. Rest day on Tues. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Tour_de_France
2008 Rest day on Tues. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_Tour_de_France
2003 Rest day on Wed. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_Tour_de_France

I can't be bothered to check further but the next ones are: 1997, 1986, 1980, 1975, 1969, 1958,1952, 1947, 1941, 1930

Not sure about this. Is there any standard that says rest days will normally be Mondays?

The 1997 Tour was back in the days of single rest days, which could fall anywhere - as late as the final Tuesday in 1986.

True my half hearted research shows only that if 14 July is Monday it's typically not a rest day

Considering their budget, their entire team and management is trash excluding Ganna and Kwiatkowski who are are both not riding with Ganna having crashed out. You could get their results for a fraction of the price.

I was wondering when you would have something to say.
