Can't really argue with that tbh. Jorgenson melting was a disaster, they had to ease off leaving the job half done (generously put), but they'd exposed Jorgenson. Pog was isolated for a short while but they all got back, and when they did Jorgenson was out of the game. Kuss was under par again as well.

Remco rode a very mature ride, his head has gone in those situations in his younger years.

Kuss has never been the same after that year (2023?) he did all 3GT where visma won them all and he won the vuelta. Peak visma .....I think it broke him

He's using the your as preparation for the vuelta
Would be the third GT this year. He didn't do the full Giro, but trained for it. If Pogacar or Vingegaard don't ride it, I think he could probably win the Vuelta, but it seems doubtful he will ride it for that reason.
I wonder if Pogacar will ride it or if he will do the WC in Ruanda?

Sometimes I post things but I'm not being that serious . I'll do that a few times this tour

Good God...
Watched the highlights and am stunned at the time gap between Pog and JV. Jonas dropped everyone else (I know some were gaining on him towards the end) and looked reasonably ok, but Pog just left him for dead.
It's good to see Lipowitz, Johannessen, Onley and Vauquelin riding well, the race for 2nd and 3rd might be the most interesting thing to look forward to.

Also, poor Ben... would like to see him make it back into the top 10.

The Danish Anchovy will have to fight hard to keep second place. It’s all sewn up now, he’s cooked, can only win if Pog goes down hard.

Oh. My. Gosh. Well, thats the yellow jumper sorted. The race for the other 2 podium places could be entertaining. And the green and red spotty jumpers too. Looking forward to the next 3 stages.

Everyone rides to get axel into a break on Carcassonne stage
It feels like a lifetime ago now, but summer '03 we had a family holiday that was approx 60mins drive from Carcassonne airport, in a tiny town called Guitalens. It's the one and only time I've seen TDF tarmac to date, its quality compared to the UK roads was incredible!

And I've just looked up a Strava segment for Hautacam (not the verified one apparently), Pog beat his old KOM leaderboard time from '22 today, previous best was 35mins and something seconds (now 33mins27secs, Onley second in 36mins33secs from today)!

Proper blasts from the past on the list of DSs with sanctions today. Mat Hayman with a yellow card, and fines for Charlie Wegelius and Bernie Eisel.

If this was when I think it was, a close-up soon showed he was as low as he'd got. Visma equipment selection error based on recons not being over one unusually tough week in?

I dunno, I think he's always been more of a grinder than a spinner, but maybe.
