Only 9 months to prepare

As a parent I'd like to suggest nine months can be nowhere near enough time to prepare for something.

This is at least only twenty-odd minutes of something being a pain in the backside though.

TT bikes tend to be way over the 6.8kg, but everything is coming together a bit at the mo - lighter weight TT bikes, lightweight aero bikes, aero lightweight bikes...

Exactly the point. Aiming for top 35 on GC (or top 10 on a team not concerned about the UCI points), top 15 on stage or need every second to avoid getting kicked out then take every second. Otherwise, riders shouldn't waste time getting another position perfected.
