Let's see what happens tomorrow and in the Alps.
You're thinking too short term, Jonas is loosening him up for the Vuelta *taps nose knowingly*
Let's see what happens tomorrow and in the Alps.
For Lanterne enthusiasts, Luka Mezgec is leading the way (bringing up the rear) so far, with a time of 31:28 - nearly a minute and a half slower than current Lanterne Mattéo Vercher
If the winning time was 22 minutes dead (we've discussed above this might not be a good thing, alive is generally better) then the cutoff at 40% would be 30:48. At 23 minutes it would be 32:12
Meanwhile, with Simon Visma Yates and Jorgenson both doing proper efforts it looks a little like Visma are switching to the Movistar "at least we can win the teams comp" tactic
HE HAS ONLEY MOVED UP TO FIFTH!!
No bad day ever for Poggi. He’s an alien you know.
McEwen reckoned he'd leap frogged Vauquelin but when the GC came up he's still a few seconds behind. Top 4 at the end is possible depending on how Roglic goes (I think Lipowitz will take the third podium place).
The "why are they wasting team effort?" chat might well die down now. Hard to see how it affected today.
There's a few riders who need to pull their socks up... subject, of course, to UCI regulations...
Mas, Rodriguez (Carlos), Skjelmose, O'Connor, Buchmann, Gall...
Or am I being unfair?
They'll all be in the stage hunter camp after tomorrow, if they're not careful!
