It's a personal helmet sponsor, a Danish building firm. Denmark went absolutely ape about it, as loads thought it was some sort of national champs helmet, and he hadn't even raced the TT champs so shouldn't be wearing it!

Not that I've a clue but you wouldn't think there'd be any aero benefit of those helmets if you're not in a aero position.

I'm the first to admit that I've not got a clue either but surely on a hill climb like that they weren't really going fast enough for the aero TT bike to be any advantage?

Personal helmet sponsors should all be banned, but this one especially. Or get him a personal shirt sponsor too so it doesn't clash and only looks really stupid rather than like it might break the TV stupid.

Too late our TV has broken, everything is in black and white - oh wait the cat is sitting on the remote - makes the riding kit look better though, I might leave it like this.

Two of the top three were on TT bikes and the one that wasn't could have been riding a tricycle for all the difference it would have made

There were 4km at the start that were pure TT stuff with clear aero gains though

Yep, 19km at 7.5% ish before the Aspin, Peyresourde and Superbagnere if I remember correctly
