Finally a stage for Chris Froome to excel on.

Wait, what?

Oh FFS.
I keep getting this vibe of Nairo Q sitting for an entire tour staring at Froome's arris each time I see Jonas' position in the peloton.

The wind could play havoc tomorrow before they even reach Ventoux. The forecast is 20km/h from the northwest (or WNW) but gusting to 45km/h. This would make it a cross tailwind for most of the stage. I haven't seen the actual race route but anything going due east or southeast briefly before turn back to the northeast could create a bit of stress.

Starts off North for a bit then swings round to East for much of the way to the mountain

"We've made a plan for that," he said at his rest day press conference. "I've already finished second twice and won twice. I have to try, and that means I'll take the risk of losing my second place to still take the yellow jersey and win the Tour. I really believe I can still make a difference."

This plan of yours, Jonas. Would you describe it as "cunning"?

Will Pogi be able to match my time of 92 minutes up Ventoux that I set on Saturday last week?
His KoM time is 59 minutes.

Beat my time last up in 2012 of 104 mins . in 1990s I did it in about 80 mins iirc. Probably take me 2 hours now ..even if I did get done miles in

Pog is gonna want to win on Ventoux surely
Maybe he'll ambiguously gift the victory to Vingegaard, who will take offence at the suggestion and launch an attack from the gun in the Alps that will see Pogacar fail to eat the 100g of carbs per mouthful that's the secret of his success, leaving Lipowitz and Vaquelin to win.

Perhaps a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel -
