It was announced around the start time. Seems a sensible decision. If the leader wants to race they can but it's their tour to lose. But for riders like Tadej and Wout that's a good day out. Maybe a disservice to Jonas but that's not his sort of stage.

Yes, agree it was sensible. If OO had been a bit closer on GC he might have been disappointed nof to have a final throw of the dice, although he’s saying himself he didn’t have it today.

I really liked Ventoux. Proper TdF with two separate competitions going on. Some jeopardy that the GC guys might encroach on the breakaway, but it ultimately stayed separate.

Ben Healy stage win.

Overall I thought it was quite a boring TDF, Pog and Vin being so far ahead of everyone else made the GC "battle" a bit dull.
