Sounded like a good move by Dominika Wlodarczyk to take the bunch sprint behind.

Just saw an interview with Puck in which she says she's got her eye on breaking the record up Ventoux.

The record in question being the 1hr 58min that she set on a mountain bike when she was 10.

Definitely a wine buff designing these stages.
Several Cote du Rhône Village on the route today.

Indeed. But difficult to to get to Ventoux from the start without going thru Les Cotes.

Also thru Grignan, an underrated white and red not much seen in the UK, prevoiusly known as Coteaux du Tricastin until there was an "incident" at the local nuclear plant. And Beaumes de Venise, which also comes in white and red, not just dessert style, again not much found in the UK. And not forgetting Cotes du Ventoux itself. Another favourite area to ride around...and drink.

Lovely. And cooler at the top of Ventoux no doubt...regardless of how much wind is blowing about.
