That's a show of real dominance by PFP! Great ride by Gigante too, with a great display of teamwork by AG Soudal to set her up further down the climb. Also special mention to Evita Muzic, I suspect she might saved what's left of Vollering's tour with that tow that she made when she looked down and out.

Also, as a complete aside for the record, I really would like to see Niamh Fisher-Black win something at some point very soon. She always puts in such a huge effort.

The descent off the Joux Plan must be her worst nightmare. She will need a head start over Vollering.

The descent into morzine is legendary technical KND and Vollering get over that with team mates ....... She should attack for sliding room perhaps ...but I guess that leaves herself isolated if there's no team mates up thr road... It's more Kasia that's the problem I guess.... She can afford to lose one step.on the podium

You can't race at this level and have this weakness . It's a total.liability ... She close lost a minute on GC going into this Stage from poor descending

Oh my word I just caught up…I had to go out with 5km to go and it was agony! WHAT a show by PFP. An absolute French fairytale! Incredible stuff! Phenomenal ride from Gigante as well…Ghekiere looked like she was in agony during her final pull. That team have been incredible! Demi looked like she was suffering enormously as well.

instagram showed footage of Dygert JUST making the cut and almost falling off her bike. She was clutching her leg and sobbing in pain. Bearing in mind what an absolute warrior she is, I can’t imagine how much that leg was hurting her.

An incredible day! Women’s cycling is SO good and the Tour is its greatest jewel.
I’m absolutely buzzing!

I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday and I'm looking forward to today. I'd be lying, though, if I said I wasn't slightly disappointed that it was so decisive. The final stage last year was one of the best single days of cycling I think I've ever seen and I was half hoping for something similar.

Last year was astonishing wasn’t it!

Although yellow MAY be sewn up (who knows for sure), I think the battle for 2,3,3 may be a cracker! I can’t see the adorable Sarah G hanging onto that second spot, although I’d love that for her. So who beats whom…Demi or Kasia?

One thing I absolutely love is how this race has had INCREDIBLE winners…Annemiek, Demi, Kasia and now (maybe…) PFP!

Astonishing was the word! I was actually on a trip away in the North of Scotland with some friends mountain biking at the time. Not a single one of them into road cycling, but by the end of that stage there were fully 8 grown men surrounding the tiny TV in our accommodation bawling and shouting at the TV. Tremendous stuff.

Given how dominant PFP was in her ride yesterday, it's over for Yellow I think, I think anyway. I do hope that Gigante manages to hold on as a reward for herself and the whole team who have been such a credit to the race, especially Justine Ghekiere, she's played her role to perfection. I'm not particularly worried which of the other two makes the podium, I like them both and it's been a solid ride for both of them.
