PFP - truly the MvDP of the female peloton. What a rider.

I'm now a bit annoyed with her for gallivanting off to the world of MTB while AVV was mashing everyone. Yeah, yeah MTB is perfectly valid and all that, but well ... where was she?

I cried last year! I love Kasia so I cried when she won and then got teary every time I watched a clip of the day! It was my favourite day of watching cycling ever! (I really love women’s cycling)

It really was a tremendous stage. However, whilst I enjoyed Kasia winning and all that went with it, my overwhelming memory of the day is just how sorry I felt for Demi Vollering. I understand why she's divisive as a rider, but I thought if we were being really honest she was the strongest rider last year. It just appeared as if the perfect storm of absolutely everything lined up against her at the tour. The team seemed really quite hostile and unkind as well.

Just this escape break formation phase is so much more credible

I felt for Demi too, who wouldn’t! Particularly when yes, it was her team that let her down. But I felt that she’d won the previous year, she’d won absolutely loads and Kasia wins so little but brings so much joy to cycling fans! Everyone has their moment, it was Kasia’s. But yes, the contrast in emotions was quite something, I thought it added to the beauty and heartbreak of sport!
