It was written by Pete Shelley of the Buzzcocks. He's had endless requests to releaser it as a track but no joy so far.

I managed to snaffle a 25 second sample and use it as my ring tone. I really am that sad.

its basically from all these videos and was able to get music without commentary long enough to merge. I think there is an application that would enable you to obtain just the audio from this video.

Bernard Hinault is the yellow jersey. I never realised the theme tune was anything but a remix of the Kraftwerk track !
