Good luck with the Bodensee and Rhine. I reckon you've more or less said goodbye to the hills from the Bodensee onwards. If you stop in Konstanz have breakfast in the Aran cafe (next to the subway entrance for going under the road to the harbour and railway station). Not cheap but good especially the prawn salady thing.

Thanks Andy. It certainly has been a hilly tour so far. Lots of heat, lots of wet, lots of wind and very tiring. Still have averaged about 70 miles a day fully-loaded despite this all. Bodensee tomorrow, doing a shortcut through Austria to get to Bregenz from Oberstdorf. I will then follow the south bank of the Bodensee to Schaffhausen, then the north bank to Basel. Then the east bank north. Still could change, but that's the plan.
