Tourmalet road washed away

Just in case anyone has plans for a summer tour in the Pyrenees. It doesn't look like the road will reopen until September at the earliest.

oh wow ,grim, was hoping to do the Tourmalet in late August.

A friend who lives in the area has told me it is climbable from the East side up from St Marie de Campan. You would have to go up and return the same way.

both sides are open, with a little walk at one point for 2 mins, ignore the signs saying road closed
