Hi folks, need some help. Ive got Specialized Nimbus 700 35c on my hybrid. Does anyone know what other tyre sizes I can fit and what are the best off/on road tyres to buy ?? Thanks Pete
You can fit 700 x 28c easily. Read the wheel size and plug it into http://sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html
Depending on the rim size, you may be able to go down to 25c for a great road hybrid if thats what your looking for?

That's great, thanks for the link I understand now makes sense. My wheels are 622x18 so understand how you can put different tyre widths on. Would the 18 push to a 38 I wonder ?? Many thanks for the advice Pete
It should be fine. An up to date version of that chart is available here (page 7) which shows a wider range of tyres being able to fit each rim width.
Edit: For a mix of on/off road use a touring tyre works fine for me. Schwalbe Marathon or Continental TourRide are the ones I generally favour. You could try a cyclocross tyre if you want a little more off road bite.
