Depends on how much you're sugar dependant. Don't eat rice pud but I can take porridge without any sugar now. Even a small amount of the stuff makes things sickly now.

I always use this one from an old Milk Marketing Board cookbook.

50g / 2oz pudding rice
568ml / 1pt milk
25g granulated sugar
1 strip lemon rind (optional)
Grated nutmeg
15g / 1/2 oz butter

Wash rice & drain well. Put in a buttered 3/4 litre 1 1/2 pint ovenproof dish and add the milk. Leave for half an hour. Add the sugar & lemon and stir well. Sprinkle with nutmeg and dot with butter.

Bake in a preheated oven 150C / Gas 2 for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Stir after about 30 mins.
