It's a bit more complicated than that...
I've got to drive from Cardiff westwards on a Monday morning in a few weeks time. If I leave at about 8am will the traffic over the bridge and around the M32 be tolerable? If I leave any earlier I'd hit crazy traffic at the M25.
(I'm taking part in a work sponsored ride which for reasons best known to the organiser goes Guildford [Head office] -> Oxford -> Gloucester -> Cardiff. Transport back to Guildford is via a train which gets in too late for a work commitment.)
