TD is not a viligilante AFAICS. Yes he seems to take his own brand of traffic surveillance to an extreme, but I hardly think he's taking 'law enforcement' into his own hands.

I can understand it. Sometimes it's nicer to lie on your side and turn a page at your leisure, rather than click on a mouse sat in front of a screen... And you can't rip up a PC and shove it in a hedge.

That's exactly what he's trying to do. I refer you to the definition of vigilante on page 1 of this thread. Self-perceived justice is exactly what TD is all about.

I looked at OxfordDictionaries, but anyway I'm wondering whether vigilantes act illegally by definition. 'undertake law enforcement in their community without legal authority' Implies they need legal authority to do what they do? wiki 'Vigilante behavior involves various degrees of violence.' TD may feel he's performing a 'public service'; not convinced it makes him a 'vigilante'.

I'm sure TD's intentions are in the right direction, but I just can't see how he can fail to see that he's actually endangering cyclists by winding up motorists with his daft self-righteousness.
