I was pointed in this direction, via a Facebook question

(part 2, linked, in the above, has a nice photo of the Sprite)

Back to your Safari, it looks like the 17/2 , which according to the Classic caravans forum was £7554 in 1980 brand new, according to the Bank of England converter makes it £32,314 now, at the time iirc something like the Sprite Musketeer would have been about £2800, an Abbey or Fairholme about £3500

Just on way back from York (in daughters b/fs Defender CSW)
They’ve bought a Sprite?

I was wrong, it’s a Lunar Solaris
Fixed bed
End bathroom (at side of bed)

He towed it home, & first time ever, towing anything!
Now in a yard, he has access to

I've just been doing the boring tasks, changing the (metal-casing)12N plug on my trailer
When I rewired it a while ago, it was the only part of the set-up, that I didn't change
The pins were a bit corroded, so whilst at Ropers, at Catterick Bridge, last week I picked up another
It was £2.50, I checked whilst looking for something else & 'Indespension' ask for £4.95!!

That is a big 'van for a single axle.
It's a '520', I believe, or a '530'

Oddly, but I have heard of it before, due to the turbulance between the upright rear of it, & the 'van, somewhere between York & Wakefield, the off-side rear mudflap on the 110 disappeared, the near-side was 'hanging by a thread'!
He told me they both already had splits in them, on looking at the remaining one, they're just sheets of rubber cut to the appropriate size, not genuine articles

I've had a look in the garage, as I thought I still had, & found him a pair of genuine part rear flaps, still in the packaging
(I also found a pair of Discovery 1 rear mud-flaps still bagged!!)
