Re caravans, we're currently at Weymouth on a Haven site in a static and it's bugged me, every time I pass a certain point, I think we've been here !!! But I can't remember the details...
Pretty sure it has to have been in the early 2000s in our old 1988 Ace Diplomat. It was already an old van when we got it but it really did the job perfectly, cost us £1500 and was perfectly functioning and comfortable despite starting to look at little aged on the exterior, we did many happy holidays in Dorset, Cornwall and Norfolk in it, I missed it once gone.
People are so hooked up in having the latest rigs, christ knows how much it costs nowadays (well I do know, its up post  ) obviously that pays a part in their numbers on the road given the cost of living
Our very first 'van was free

I agree on the prices, after my last couple of visits to 'WandaHomes'
£52,195!!

We bought an old two berth Avondale Pearle back in the early 1990’s from a dealer for around £1200 (it was taken in part exchange and they wanted it out of the way). Although it was surprisingly clean, we spent some time improving it, used it for two seasons, and moved it on for £2500. Then bought a 1972 VW Danbury camper for £2000. Those were the days!

Immediately on rejoining the A1 south, at junction 47 (intersection with A59), I caught & passed a 3.5 ton artic
I don't see many, but the damned dash-cam is playing silly buggers, & won't save a screenshot of it
From the view in the mirrors, I reckon if was an IVEVCO

EDIT @ 15:47
Having had a bit of a look around, it might even have been a 7.5 ton unit??
