if I rode 30 miles in the morning before work and 30 miles after work would it be the same as doing 60 miles in one go?
Training should be progressive and should be part of longer training plan.
What is your current weekly base miles?
When is your 100 miler and what sort of event is it? A time trial, sportive or complete leisure ride?
If you can repeatedly do 2x30 miles comfortably, more than once a week, you shouldn't have any problem doing a 100 on the event day.
Good luck
I remember a colleague telling me that his brother must be a genetic freak. Colleague commuted 80 km/week on his bike, did 40-50 hours/week of manual labouring at work, and enjoyed various sports. Bro just bummed around and got very little exercise. Colleague was gutted to find that his brother could easily outrun him over any distance from 100 m to 5+ km!My regular cycling buddy commutes a 10 mile each way commute.... He maintains similar fitness to me doing 30 mile rides and 10k runs!
Infuriating!🤣🤣
