Hi all. I've just joined up to this forum (initially to simply make contact with someone selling a bike) but I thought I may be a bit more active. For those of you who take Cycling Weekly magazine (and bizarrely I don't) you may well have seen an article about me back in March as I was hit with a rare neurological condition, at the end of 2018, which left me paralysed from the neck down. Recovery is slow, painful and incredibly difficult and I'm intrigued to know if anybody out there has come across another cyclist with Transverse Myelitis (or simply knows of somebody with it who is feeling a bit lost). I've got a few Colnagos too if anyone's interested in chatting sometime! 😁

I have no knowledge of anyone with a similar condition but I am now intrigued to hear more about your recovery as the article seemed to stop abruptly.

Anyway, :welcome:.

I always thought I should have done a blog - but it wasn't the natural thing to think about when I found myself laid up in a Japanese Hospital. More than happy to provide updates on here...

You'll never get away now!

Good solid mindset... Keep going.
It's not easy and only a third of those who get hit with it make anything like a full recovery. I'm still a long way off (and even then it's not guaranteed). 🤔 I will keep going as best I can. Cheers.

:welcome:Picture of one of your Colnagos needed (once you have enough posts to be allowed such extravagance). Powerful motivator indeed.
That will be a pleasure (and you've answered a question in my head as I was wondering how to attach photo's!). I've just finished a regular posting on Twitter featuring one of my Colnagos every Sunday through my self isolation period!
