Hi Addict, just read your post and hope all goes well with you and your treatment, I saw holiday prog other day on tv and some people having same prob, and first thing is do not look on net for insurance companies, but first of all as some said ask health care advisor and other is to phone some companies as they dont all use comparison sites, EHIC only covers some but not all medical emergencies and even in european countries you could find it expensive, as it may not cover in the unlikely event u need one......an ambulance, rediculous I know, as said one woman they talked to done comparison site and was quoted £1200 and she had been clear of her pre existing condition for nearly 5yrs, but they word it as it was only in remission.........but after phoning round she had one company that was able to go into greater detail with her and was fully insured for £113, what the watch dogs are saying the forms on comparison sites only ask basic and its not until you talk to someone and explain the whole situation that they can assess you as an individual and make you insurance individually suited to your needs.
