Travel Insurance with Prostate Cancer - Any ideas?

Not for me I should add!

My Father was recently diagnosed with PC, and since then despite no outward changes in his health, and being given a prognosis of between 5 and 10 years, (it's in his bones too and he's 78), no-one will touch him :cursing:

We're only talking about UK domestic travel as well, they have no intention of any more foreign travel due to their general reduced mobility, (which is not PC related BTW).

My Mother has tried numerous companies, but it's been a no no with them all so far.

She has just informed me that his consultant has now given them a list of 'PC friendly' companies, and she is going to work through those, but they have been advised that even these companies move their goalposts from month to month, and therefore there are no guarantees even with those.

So in the meantime I just thought I'd appeal to to the broad spectrum that is CC to see if anyone had any recommendations under the circumstances.

Thanks in advance :hugs:

Firstly, sorry to hear your dad is unwell. If it's just UK travel what are they looking to insure against?

Isn't there a company that advertises insurance for the over 50's with pre-existing medical conditions?

Thanks for the replies. I think they like having insurance just in case they do need to cancel for any, (non PC related), reason really.

They've had an annual policy for years prior to his PC diagnosis, but the insurers have cancelled it now.

IMO they don't really need it, but because they held the annual policy, (and used it a couple of times TBH), I think they just feel better with one.
