Quite a lot in the past, just part of the job to see clients and watch/do interviews
Europe including Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, NL and Lithuania for around 18 hours, and Istanbul years ago
Tokyo 3 times (each was awful, Beijing and Shanghai
US, NYC, NJ, Philly, Chicago, San Francisco, Phoenix

Ah yes, São Paulo for a few days, about a week after getting back from one of the Tokyo trips, I had no idea what time zone it was. Made worse by having to fly Premium Economy not Club as the price was out of my client's not ungenerous (£4K budget)

I had a colleague who travelled so much she had a BA gold card constantly for about 30 years!

Most recently Birmingham and Manchester

I only worked for that company for 3 years - but it was P&O cargo ships! Experiences? Errrm; not really suitable for this forum , but they were great days never to be forgotten.

Cyprus twice a year, usually Jan or Feb then March or April, working for 2 weeks at a time on a citrus plantation near Limassol, servicing machinery, helping them get production going. Fabulous people, always looked after me and got me a hire car etc etc. Got stuck for about 7 days extra there when the Icelandic volcano went up but all my trip there over maybe 8 years went very smoothly.

Inland Egypt for 2 weeks, as above. Food was dire, people were lovely, surprisingly modern facility belied the poverty many of the workers had to deal with (or so it seemed to me) I gave most of my tools to some of them, they were so helpfully and friendly and in awe of my toolkit for some reason. Got eaten to death by mossies (134 bites in one night) and got the absolutely worst diahorrea I ever ever had...like run like crazy for the loo . Cairo is insane, no other word for it, glad I only passed through it.

Uruguay for maybe 10 days. Very European outlook, very English looking countryside in places, very bland food. Lost a stone in weight while I was there...and i wasn't a big fella to start with. Lots of rusty old 50s and 60s cars still running...see my avatars, 1930 Chevrolet, still running back in 2007. Luggage lost by Iberian, which caused a big problem, it had lots of critical spares and pcbs for my trip, got round it though.

Spain a few times, again citrus packing. Christ they work, they don't hang about...i expected it to be like a siesta but they work hard. Not as friendly I found, I tended to get left to my own devices.

I always worked with one principle...prepare prepare prepare, don't trust anyone (from your own company) to do what you think they should / could. Every detail has to be covered, don't rely on anyone else.

At the time I loved it, flew 37K miles one year and still turned down a trip to S Africa because it does put a bit of a strain on even a good marriage.
I wouldn't change it...but probably wouldn' want to start doing it again.
My company were brilliant, full travel and Bupa health cover, covered every expense, no matter what and always had a car to take and pick me up to and from the airport.

Some male and female colleagus at work would say ..ooh I couldn' do that, not know where you're going, who's picking you up when your there, which hotel you'e staying in etc etc'.
It's no great problem, whaddaya want to do, the same thing all your life ??..do something different I'd say.

I would not say it was fortunate. A placement where you have a house base for a year or more was fine. But I began to hate the travelling and living out of hotels or temp accommodation. I gave that stuff up in my 30's and became much more contented in life / work balance.
