Bikemagic only reviewed older models, but the general feeling is that you will get a bike with basic man components as you will with any MTB at this price point, but the frame is excellent quality. At 12.8 kg is also very light for the price point (rim brake version)

I know a few people with Trek 4*00 bikes - I had a 4500 a few years back. Obviously the components vary model to model but the basic frames are really good.
