Bummer. I had a trial run at getting bikes, roofbox and a couple of other bits on the roof of our car before going on hols. Ended up leaving my 2 teenage lads' bikes on the roof overnight cos it started pissing down with rain and I thought they'd be ok locked up on the roof. By 6am following morning, they've gone. All reported to the police. Insurance claim denied 
!!!!! I'll post about that elsewhere on the forum.
Details of the bikes:
Trek 4500 MTB with front susp. Black and grey colour. 19.5 inch frame. Frame no WTU275SE0747C. Knug lights back and front. Also a wired computer (but it was knackered!).
Specialized Hard Rock Sport MTB also with front susp. White and red colour. 19 inch frame. Frame no WUD80824564D. Knug lights back and front.
No access to photos at the moment but I'll see if I can find something later on.
Any help you can give gratefully received.
