Triban 500se max tyres

Hi guys

I need to cycle on a towpath and I'm thinking about buying a second hand BTwin Triban 500 se

Does anyone know if I can fit some marathon tyres on it so to avoid punctures?

Yes, marathons come in a range of widths. The max width will be determined by the clearance on the frame (check the current tyre width)

Note that the plus versions can be very tough to get onto rims (and they’re heavy and sluggish things too)

To add, even with puncture resistant tyres, you should still carry a spare tube or two, a pump and tyre levers...the one day you don't, is the day you'll have a fairy visit
