...the whole point of being in a band is to create things, not to tag on to someone else's image and be an inferior version of them.
I so hope that Brian Johnson is a member of this forum and reads that.

They used to play a gig in Dundee for a few years between Christmas and New Year - but I am fairly sure they retired.A mate of mine, Alan Moore is the singer with AB/CD a tribute band that only play the old Bon Scott stuff.
The lead guitarist was given a Gibson SG guitar by Angus Young they're that good.
It's possible, Alan was talking about getting old last time we spoke, I've not been going out much for the past couple of years (since I broke my femur) so I've not seen him for a bit but I always preferred his old band the 'Travs' (Travelling Riverside blues Band)They used to play a gig in Dundee for a few years between Christmas and New Year - but I am fairly sure they retired.
I was at a party at a neighbour's house a few weeks ago, he plays drums/guitar/and stuff and had a few mates round to play with him; and it turned out that a couple of them are in Volts, so ACDC ended up being the most played band of the night - there were a few snippets of Saxon, Priest and Maiden thrown in for good measure, with a short break for the old bloke from next door to sing the regimental song of the Hampshire Regiment. An enjoyable evening.
I'm looking forward to next year's Bonfest in Kirriemuir.
BACK:N:BLACK are playing the Friday night - an all female band from Switzerland who are excellent, one of the best (possibly the best) ACDC tribute acts I have seen.
I'm not going to bother with the Saturday night as the band are not that good and the singer is right up himself - there are plenty bands on in pubs during the day so I'll content myself with that, and probably meet a few mates as they usually play gigs during the day.
Sunday has PURE/DC featuring the singer from ACDC/UK (who run B:N:B close for the best ACDC tribute act I have seen) and Tony Currenti (who played drums on the High Voltage album).
