i was in london on business last week, and had a quick go on a boris bike. not a bad ride, although everyone on their own bike does seem determined to overtake you (or not be overtaken).

if you are canny, you could get a year's worth of bike commuting, with no maintenance costs, for £45.

£90 very soon. the only issue i have wioth them is that every single one i have followed ( why pass when you can pootle) screeches, clatters rattles graunches or clunks. what maintenance gets carried out on them, and when?
