A big lad like me can cycle along it....Hi.
I don't ride a trike, but I've done the route several times.
Some of the bridges are really narrow, but of course I haven't measured them either
There is a bit (before the Falkirk Wheel iirc) that is definitely too narrow for a trike, but I think you can use the parallel road instead.
On that route, lots of the "under bridges" are cobbled, no railings, can get slippy if the weather is wet, which is most days here.so as long as you have ~6" solid path both sides it's fine.
There is an alternate for the Dark Tunnel, head up through the new Park'n'Ride or the path that goes up to the Slamanan rd, turn right and literally just down the road, a right turn off the road takes you up past the nursery then follow the path/signs (not too clear thought) when you meet the next road, cross and head down the path and signs to the canal are at the next road.On that route, lots of the "under bridges" are cobbled, no railings, can get slippy if the weather is wet, which is most days here.
I think, @Bobby Mhor, on the Avon Aqueduct can be bypassed on road, but the dark tunnel, you're right, might just be too narrow.
Bobby, you went a reccie for the good of the CC communitynote the cobble surface, I tend to walk my bike through it...as damp, slippy and uneven...
With no mudguards? On the canal?and yes, I know it's a girls hybrid...
Oh shucksBobby, you went a reccie for the good of the CC community
OMG that tunnel: I'm sure the last time I went through it there was no lights inside at all, I didn't realize how much moss covers the surfaces.
