Was looking at channel crossing (Dover Calais) for our trip to Paris in August, and discovered the Channel Tunnel shuttle can take cyclists - if anyone didnt already know that.

£32 return, and a 30 minute crossing. A minibus with trailer will pick us up near the terminal, and then drops us at Citie Europe. Reverse for return. Max 6 bikes each run, 2 crossings per day.

Handy for us South Easterners!

Did the P&O crossing last week. That was £13 for a day return with a bike. Ok, we almost spent as much as that on breakfast but said breakfast got us to Boulogne! (No idea what the staggered return rates are but it's silly cheap for a day return.)

Thats a good price, but mid August everything goes rocketing up! I'll look forward to finding a little boulangerie just out of Calais!

Used it a couple of weeks ago - excellent (and it takes 8 bikes) - on the way back home we were catching the train at Folkestone West and the obliging driver, Norman, dropped us there.
