Trying to catch a falling leaf in October

This time last year I heard about the tradition of catching a falling leaf. Apparently if you manage it in October it gives you good luck for the next 12 months. I went out and tried and found it incredibly difficult ! Lots of near misses but I never really managed it. I’m giving it another go this year but so far again without success. Has anyone else heard of this tradition ? Has anyone managed it yet ?

As long as you steer clear of cherry trees you should be OK.

You need to watch out for Rowan trees. Billy Connolly says that in Scotland, it is still considered incredibly bad luck if a Rowan trees falls on you.
