As long as I breathe, I attack.
Cycle to the funeral.

as the whole family is going it might be a bit tricky , plus we are going to the wake afterwards , i do have a 60 plus mile ride planned tomorrow

Windy. Slow start because I can... then spent an hour or so in shed fettling trainer bike. Was not entirely happy with the whole position and comfort, so swapped out the handlebar for different width, slightly longer stem, inline seat post to replace the minimal setback one, and a different SMP saddle. Trialled it after lunch and it's much better, although may still try another seat.

Have seen one of the Tacx trainer bikes for sale locally, the all in one unit instead of a bike bolted. Tempted.

Pellets delivered, but not until 1100, was fettling road bike, changing the gear cables, the FD cable is a PITA, as it routed internally round the BB, using black liner sheath, which has deteriorated and had to be removed so now struggling to feed the cable through 😬

There's a technique to that. Give us a shout if you are struggling.

Managed it by cobbling together some narrow sheathing with the original to get it through the frame..... The inner sheathing I've got is for brake cable and too wide for the wee hole in the frame, the LBS didn't have any so I bodged!
Also ordered some from Ebay. All working now, just need to wrap the bars. I think Pinno said he would nip over to do that 😉

Written off by, or rather discharged from regular dietician reviews post that medical event last year. She was happy with stable(ish) weight and how I'm eating. Another box tick.

Now then, for all of you in suspenders awaiting the next episode of the courier missing package saga, would time run out? would it all get rather messy? the stoma baggies are now in t'cupboard so all settled. Dial back in next month for the next episode.

More plants and garden work done in the sunshiiine, time for a choc ice and a coldie.

Seems a bit odd to be told this afternoon that I have an appointment tomorrow, so soon after my x-ray on Friday, for my frozen shoulder. I can only presume the precautionary scan has shown something not good. Maybe I did some bone damage when I clouted the doorframe big time stiley ~5 months ago.

PS there is a Mundane news and a Tea thread for posting nonsense already, rather than have one a day ? Just saying.

On this here refugee boat, this deck platform provides the opportunity to retain some of our unique culture. If this practice is forbidden, we will start shouting stuff like 'discrimination' and 'not cricket'.
Assimilation into the Bike Radar culture will take time for the Cycle Chat brethren but that change will be inexorable.
We found ourselves floating in the sea of uncertainty and in need of asylum, refuge and cultural expression founded on obscurity and the inexplicable (I must say, I don't understand most of it myself but it's strangely alluring). It adds colour to life and one can only recommend jumping on the bandwagon - your life will never be the same and you wouldn't want a return to that sort of mundane, even if you could.
Although the language being English is similar, we find ourselves worlds apart. Visiting hours are pretty loose but like most institutions, translators are either in short supply or on gardening leave so you'll just have to work things out for yourself.
I'll leave you with this ancient Arabic expression for you to ponder. Unfortunately, it looses most of the meaning in translation but I am sure you will agree that it is most apt in these times of unpredictable chaos:

"When the moon winks, the vulture flies sideways"
