Was still dark at 6.45 here and hasn't got much better since.

Still, WFH again so doesn't really matter. Went for another session with the physio this morning and came away with another lot of stretching type exercises  Coffee and tax mitigation sounds like a preferable alternative. Also looking at the weather forecast, glad I'm headed North this weekend as riding doesn't look like an option.

Quiet in here, innit. Not even a Pinno to be seen...

A split second before I hit 'Post reply', my laptop chucked a wobbly insisting that I carry out updates before I could do anything.
Unlike BR, my post was still there undeleted even after signing out by virtue of doing a browsing history clear post updates.

Thanks for the prompt @oxoman

Still here. Have been stupidly busy with stuff, and trying to figure out what life now looks like. I’ve just about completed all the tedious admin tasks, and made progress in getting this place back to looking like it’s managed and cared for. We’d done very little of that for the last couple of years.

The tough questions remain. I love this place for the views, the serenity and privacy, The Shed, and even the neighbourhood suits me. But it seems ludicrous for one man to live in a double storey 4 bedroom 420 sq metre house alone, with 4 cars, 6 bikes, a pile of machinery and tools for days. I’ve sold or given away great piles of accumulated things, and there’s still loads to go.

But for now, I’m having a break, and heading away on a road trip later this week, partly to visit some friends and extended family, but mostly to just try and reset myself with a change of routine.

It's a shocker up here. Doesn't even have the manners to chuck it down or blow a hoolie; just dank and dark. Driech, some might say.

Car in garage for MoT. Tax is due at the end of the month and I keep on forgetting that I can't buy road tax until after the MoT even though it still has a valid one.

Coffee, admin, and might buy some rim tape if I can bear the excitement.

Morning
Well it’s not raining here so a relatively dry walk with Bertie, met a couple of spaniels so he was well chuffed.
Later will be some weights and finger boarding.

Good to see you back here 'Spinner.

Agree it's a tough question, but you at least can take your time deciding what to do. I'd thought about the same thing if I ever found myself on my own in our current place - despite promising myself when we moved in that the next home I'd move to would have the word 'care' in it.

Anyway, enjoy the break.

Evening all,
Dull and damp here today, ventured out on the shopping hack for an appointment about heartburn and reflux. Had to swallow a brillo pad tied to a piece of string and stand around for 7 minutes before it got yanked out again to be sent off for analysis. Thats as exciting as today got.
Up early and into west Oxfordshire tomorrow for a couple of days of office based enjoyment.
Sorry to hear the news Spinner, had missed it due to only being on here sporadically. Can only imagine how difficult it is and wish you all the best in getting through working out where things lead you. Hope you enjoy the trip, and remember there’s a load of blokes you’ll probably never meet on the other side of the world that do care about you.
