Any recommendations for a turbo that allows some side to side movement?

I see the tacx neo does, but wondered if there’s anything lower down the spec tree

I’d just get a cheap rocker plate. Lifeline can be had new for £160

Yeah true enough.

Just considering making a turbo hack in the shed, and my last setup made my ass ache like mad. Even after a bike fit and saddle sizing

If you can find a "rolloturbo", that does. Very clever design. Front wheel comes off and forks clamped onto the turbo. The rear wheel floats on a pair of rollers. And it all folds for compact storage.

A dumb trainer and the design lost out to the rear "A" frame turbos, but a good option if you only need a dumb trainer.

I made a half rocker first, which is about 90% of the full monty. Then I went onto make a full length version with phenolic trailer board.

Completely transforms a turbo into an almost outdoor riding feel
