Turning a hub dynamo into a motor

I was looking at this on YouTube, which got me thinking, that electric hub motor does not look much different my hub dynamo. Could I install one on my Brompton, hide the battery in the front pannier, and thus win the next Brompton World Championship? Then I thought, I already have a Schmidt XS-SON dynohub, could connect a battery to that and turn it into a motor?

I seem to remember that bike dynamos generate AC, (so they should really be called alternators) and so would need AC to run them as motors.

Plus, a 3W motor wouldn't be especially accelerative...

Apparently hiding the battery is quite easy if you believe the rumours Allegedly you can get 1000w out of an AAA battery
