TV of your youth

For various complicated reasons, I found myself chasing related videos on Youtube, having started with The Littlest Hobo, and ended up reliving the opening titles of Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle, the cartoon from the 70's. Talk about nostalgia. There I was, sitting cross legged in front of the telly, with my normal post-school/pre-dinner snack (a few crisps, a few peanuts, a handful of Smarties and a piece of cheese, all on a saucer), swooning over Tarzan, who, although I didn't really realise at the time, was probably my first crush....

Go on, nostalgia, wallow, you know you want to... Look up something you'd almost forgotten about...

I came across Airwolf earlier, never watched it as a kid, but for reasons I won't go into, it just makes me sad now....

The Taxi theme is also just a little bit sad, for a sitcom....

I bet no-one else remembers Automan.

I loved the cop shows too - Rockford (still the best), Kojak, McCloud, Cannon and this one - remember Petrocelli with the excellent Barry Newman - wonder if he's finished that house?
