Arch must have fancied Robert Hoffmann!

Hmm, that one passed me by I'm afraid. My considered mature opinion is, I wouldn't say no, but then I'm pretty desparate.... Nice tight britches though.

To revert a little to a time of innocence, the Trumptonshire trilogy was a favourite:

Trumpton
Camberwick Green
and the rather less shown
Chigley

I must show this to nephew Oli, who is train obsessed. I got him an Ivor the Engine book for his birthday.

Of course you're considerably younger than me - how ungallant of me!;)

No worries. I'm still glowing from the other day when two chaps I work with expressed surprise when they found out I was 40. They thought I was younger....

The main thing about TV in my youth was that we didn't watch ITV, not until I was 10 or so, so I missed a lot....

Here comes Bod!

Does everyone remember Alberto and his amazing animal band, which played in the middle of Bod? After he'd solved whatever problem it was, he'd be offered a reward and he always said "I wouldn't say no to a milkshake" and then they had to guess what flavour he'd opt for. Very rarely, he'd opt for a flavour no one had suggested, and I always liked that bit best - it was the budding anarchist in me....

The Flashing Blade, was always a school holiday staple!

IIRC it was French but dubbed into English in a way that would make old martial arts films look slick

I loved the cop shows too - Rockford (still the best),

I was reading today that they are going to re-make The Rockford Files. Apparently it will be written by "House" creator David Shore and star Josh Duhamel (no, me neither) who's apparently the husband of Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas! They are hoping James Garner (who was modelled on James Garner BTW ?-only the oldies will know this) in the first episode.
